  5. January to February
Along Lukasu Road near Atletico Lusaka Sports Complex, five snatching incidents occurred, including two involving Japanese victims. Various methods were used, such as reaching out from a vehicle, stopping nearby to snatch items, and fleeing.

Safety Recommendations:

  1. Avoid walking whenever possible. If walking is necessary, stay vigilant and choose routes away from traffic.
  2. Do not leave valuables such as computers or smartphones in the car. Ensure that your car doors and windows are securely locked.
  3. Carry all valuables with you when leaving the car or avoid carrying unnecessary items when going out.
  4. Park in well-lit, monitored areas with visible security cameras.
  5. Observe the behavior of security personnel for any suspicious activity.
  6. Ensure you have reliable communication methods in case of emergencies. If attacked, prioritize personal safety and do not resist.
