India: Advisory on Protests Across West Bengal Following the Assault and Murder of a Female Medical Intern

On August 9th, a female medical intern at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata was assaulted and murdered, leading to a series of violent clashes across West Bengal this week. These incidents have resulted in numerous injuries and arrests.
On Saturday, August 30th, large-scale rallies and demonstrations led by the ruling AITC (TMC) party are expected to take place across West Bengal.
Additionally, protests led by the BJP are scheduled to continue until Friday, September 6th.
