1. The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation has announced that entry restrictions will be strengthened to prevent the spread of Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) into Indonesia. All travelers entering Indonesia are required to fill out the SATUSEHAT Health Pass electronic self-declaration form, providing information about their health status and travel history.
- Note: The directive implementing this measure (Directorate General of Civil Aviation Circular No. 5 of 2024) has been effective since August 27. However, according to information from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Quarantine Office, the measure began at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport from 7:00 PM on August 29, with other airports to follow gradually.
2. The procedure for the process is as follows:
- (1) International travelers (flight crew and passengers) entering Indonesia must fill out the SATUSEHAT Health Pass electronic self-declaration form at their departure airport.
- Note: This declaration form is a web-based system and is not the SATUSEHAT app previously used during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- (2) After completing all the required fields, a QR code will be displayed, which should be saved as a screenshot or printed out.
- (3) Present the QR code at the airport upon arrival.
- (4) Additional measures such as temperature checks may be conducted at the airport upon arrival. If a traveler has a fever, a PCR test or other measures may be administered.
3. The electronic self-declaration form must be completed for each individual, including children and infants. For children, parents or guardians must fill out the form on their behalf and ensure that a separate screenshot or printout is prepared for each child.
