On July 31, an announcement was made that federal police arrested a Canadian father and son for allegedly planning an attack at a hotel in Richmond Hill on July 29.

At the time of their arrest, the suspects were in possession of weapons (hatchets and machetes) and had specific plans for the attack, which they planned to carry out in the coming days.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant against the threat of terrorism and to always take safety precautions, such as reporting suspicious persons or activities to the police if you see them.
