At around 12:30 AM on February 11, a Japanese national was assaulted and strangled by two men while walking near Brussels-South Station. The perpetrators stole cash and other valuables in this mugging incident.
There have been frequent shooting incidents in the vicinity of this station, and in the past, Japanese nationals have also been victims of similar robberies. Please exercise caution and avoid the area, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
