According to Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau, as of 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, Typhoon Gaemi (International name: Gaemi, Chinese name: Kai-mei) was moving north-northwestward over the sea east-southeast of Eluanbi (the southern tip of Taiwan) and is forecast to approach northern Taiwan from midnight on Wednesday, July 24 to the morning of Thursday, July 25. At 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau issued a marine and land typhoon warning (land: New Taipei, Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung.
