The Oman Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for a wide range of areas in Oman, including Muscat, due to the influence of a developing tropical depression in the southeast of the country. The warning is in effect from the night of October 14 to October 16. Significant rainfall is expected, particularly on the 15th in South Sharqiyah Governorate, North Sharqiyah Governorate, Al Wusta Governorate, and Muscat Governorate, with increased rainfall anticipated on the 16th in Dhofar Governorate and Al Wusta Governorate. Rainfall is also predicted across other extensive areas of the country not listed here.
Warnings have been issued for flash floods, storms, high waves, and reduced visibility during thunderstorms in the affected areas. Residents and visitors in these regions are advised to be cautious of possible wadi (dry riverbed) floods and traffic disruptions due to road inundation. Those staying in the aforementioned areas should actively seek weather information and prioritize their safety.
