- To date, there has been no announcement from the authorities regarding the outbreak area, transmission routes, or the Mpox clade involved.
- The infected individual is currently receiving treatment at a specialized medical center in Marrakech, and their condition is reported to be stable.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has also issued broad information regarding Mpox. Those traveling to or staying in Morocco are advised to continue monitoring the latest information.
To prevent Mpox, it is recommended to avoid contact with individuals showing symptoms, bodily fluids, and animals that may carry the Mpox virus. Regular hand hygiene using soap or alcohol-based hand sanitizers is also advised.
