  1. Wednesday, September 11, is “Catalonia Day (Diada),” a public holiday in Catalonia, and demonstrations are held across the region every year. While demonstrations are expected to take place today, particular attention should be paid to the large-scale demonstrations in Barcelona tomorrow, which tend to attract significant crowds each year.
  2. In Barcelona, a large number of participants from across the region are expected to gather early in the day on Wednesday, September 11, for the demonstration march, which is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM, from França Station to the Arc de Triomf.
  3. In addition to the areas around França Station and the Arc de Triomf, major delays in public transportation are expected due to traffic restrictions around Urquinaona Station, Plaça de Catalunya, and Ciutadella Park. Please exercise extra caution if you plan to travel, especially if you are heading to the airport.
