Oktoberfest will be held in Munich from Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, October 6. Munich’s Oktoberfest is the largest beer festival in the world, attracting approximately six million visitors.

During the event, many attendees have been involved in criminal incidents. Last year, a total of 1,093 crimes were reported at the venue, and the police were dispatched 1,854 times (an average of 103 times per day). The main crimes included 268 cases of assault and battery, 793 sexual offenses (including rape), 368 drug-related crimes, and 143 pickpocketing incidents.

Large-scale events like Oktoberfest, which attract a significant number of attendees, may become targets for both terrorism and general crimes, requiring heightened vigilance.
