Guam: Advisory on Approaching Tropical Depression (Declaration of COR3)

• According to the Guam government, as of 1:00 PM on the 10th, Tropical Depression 14W is located approximately 195 miles southeast of Guam and is expected to pass through the Mariana Islands, including Guam, between the night of the 10th and the morning of the 11th, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
• At 3:00 PM on the 10th, the Guam government issued COR3 (the second-lowest alert level in the four-tier system) and is urging residents to prepare for and remain vigilant regarding the approaching tropical depression.
• During Typhoon Mawar in May of last year, Guam experienced significant damage, including extended power outages, water supply disruptions, and airport closures. Residents and visitors are advised to take necessary precautions such as stocking up on food and drinking water, securing cash, refueling vehicles, checking generators, and replenishing gas supplies.
