On Saturday, September 7, from 8:00 a.m., a pro-government civic group, Burkina Remparts, is calling for a demonstration to advocate for the continuation of the Traoré (interim) presidency.
The demonstration will take place along the route from the Patte d’oie rotary, straight through Bassawarga Street, to the Espace Camp Fonctionnaire. As a result, there may be traffic disruptions in the surrounding areas.
In addition, there is a possibility of sporadic gatherings at other locations such as the UN Plaza, Place de la Nation, and other rotaries, coinciding with the demonstration.
We advise all Japanese nationals to prioritize their safety by staying informed of the latest updates on this demonstration and avoiding areas where large crowds are gathering, including the aforementioned locations, as there is a potential risk of unexpected incidents, in addition to traffic restrictions.
