Following the arrest of anti-whaling activist Paul Watson, who was internationally wanted based on a request from Japan, on July 21 in Greenland, his supporters have posted on social media calling for a rally to demand his release. This rally is planned to take place in front of the building where our embassy is located on September 3rd (Tuesday) from approximately 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
While it is uncertain whether the rally will actually occur, we recommend that anyone planning to visit the embassy during this time avoid doing so if possible. If it is necessary to visit the embassy during this period, please use the intercom at the main entrance of the building to communicate your purpose and enter the building accordingly.
