Safety Tips:

  • Avoid Large Withdrawals: Refrain from withdrawing large amounts of cash as you may be targeted.
  • Bring a Companion: If you must withdraw a large sum, try to have someone accompany you.
  • Disguise Cash: Keep cash or items from banks out of sight when leaving the bank. Avoid displaying cash or bank envelopes.
  • Watch for Suspicious Vehicles: Check for cars that might be following you, particularly those with people loitering in the parking lot.
  • Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like phone calls or emails while at the bank. Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Handle Cash Discreetly: Do not count or display cash in public.
  • Be Cautious at ATMs: If someone seems to be watching you at an ATM, cancel the transaction and leave the area.
  • Secure Your Vehicle: Always lock your car and close windows. Be cautious of people approaching your vehicle.
  • Be Aware of Follow Vehicles: If you suspect you are being followed, avoid going directly home and instead head to a police station or a busy public place.
  • Never Leave Valuables in Car: Even for a few minutes, avoid leaving cash or valuables in your car. Thieves can break windows to access these items quickly.
  • Complete Bank Visits Last: Do your banking errands at the end of your day to avoid carrying cash around unnecessarily.
  • Check for Suspicious Vehicles at Home: If someone is at home, have them check for suspicious vehicles before you arrive.
  • Request Police Assistance: If depositing a large amount of cash, you can contact the nearest police station for support. Officers may accompany you to the bank, and this service is free of charge.

Stay cautious and take proactive measures to safeguard yourself and your belongings.
