1. Incident Overview

- Location: Near La Guñija Market, Cuauhtémoc District, Mexico City
- Details: A Japanese business traveler was in a taxi from the airport heading to their accommodation when, while traveling near La Guñija Market, a pair of individuals on a motorcycle approached the taxi. They knocked on the window with their fists and forced the driver to open the window. They then stole the traveler’s bag and fled the scene. The victim was unharmed. (It is unclear if the robbers were armed with a firearm.)
2. Precautions
- Taxi Safety: In Mexico, there have been incidents where taxi drivers or accomplices in taxis have been involved in robbery schemes.
