- According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center, as of September 24, Tropical Depression Helene is located in the northwestern Caribbean Sea, moving north-northwest at a speed of 11 km/h. The central pressure is 1002 hPa, and the maximum wind speed is 30 knots (15 m/s).
- The storm is expected to intensify and continue moving north-northwest to north, passing through the Yucatán Channel as a tropical depression around 2:00 a.m. on September 25, and making landfall in Florida on September 26 as a major Category 3 hurricane. Caution is advised for heavy rain, strong winds, storm surges, and high waves.
