On September 10, the Mayor of Moscow and the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that, in the early hours of the same day, multiple drones were shot down by air defense systems in various locations including Lyubertsy (approximately 35 km southeast of Moscow city center), Ramenskoye (approximately 53 km southeast), Podolsk (approximately 43 km south), Domodedovo (approximately 62 km south), Kolomna (approximately 105 km southeast), and the Troitsk Administrative District (approximately 50 km southwest of Moscow). According to local reports, there have been casualties in Ramenskoye. As far as the consulate is aware, there are no Japanese nationals residing in these areas except for Troitsk. Safety has been confirmed for Japanese nationals living in Troitsk.
Currently, there is no noticeable deterioration in security conditions in Moscow and its surrounding areas. However, Japanese nationals are advised to continue monitoring news sources for the latest information.
