The victim had locked the front door and was sleeping when, around 5:50 AM, the bedroom light suddenly turned on, waking the victim. The victim saw the intruder and, upon shouting, the intruder quickly fled down the stairs. There were no signs of forced entry on the locked front door, suggesting the door was likely picked. The interior showed no significant disturbance, but cash and a watch were stolen. Later, security personnel from the apartment complex reviewed security camera footage and discovered the suspect walking around the building a few hours later, leading to their apprehension.
Residential Security Measures
(1) To prevent residential break-ins:
