On the evening of November 25, a Japanese national (male) was attacked by a group of three individuals, suspected to have been motivated by financial gain, near Tomberg Park (Plaine de Jeux Tomberg) in the Woluwe-Saint-Lambert district of Brussels. The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident. It is unclear whether this attack specifically targeted the Japanese national, but the perpetrators ambushed the victim in the darkness.
Even in areas considered relatively safe, crimes can occur, and this incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant. When going out, especially in the evening or at night, it is recommended to:
- Stay alert to your surroundings,
- Walk through well-lit, busy areas,
- Travel in groups if possible, and
- Use personal vehicles or taxis whenever feasible for transportation.
Please take extra care to ensure your safety during your travels in Brussels.
