China: Vehicle Rams into Crowd in Front of Elementary School in Changde, Hunan Province

1. At approximately 8:00 AM on November 19, an incident occurred near an elementary school in Dingcheng District, Changde City, Hunan Province, where a vehicle rammed into a crowd. Several people, including children, were injured and transported to the hospital. However, the exact number of injuries remains unclear. According to the Japanese Embassy in China, there are no reports of Japanese nationals among the victims. The suspect was apprehended at the scene by parents and security authorities and is currently under investigation.

•Avoid going out alone at night, particularly late at night, as incidents in bars or other establishments may occur.

•Even during the day, refrain from speaking loudly in Japanese or engaging in conspicuous or provocative behavior, such as making noise in groups with other Japanese individuals.
