Honduras: Red Alert Issued Due to Heavy Rainfall (Valid Until 12:00 AM on November 18)

The Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO) has issued a “Red Alert” for Atlántida, Colón, Gracias a Dios, Islas de la Bahía, Yoro, and Cortés departments due to heavy rainfall, high waves, and other impacts from a tropical storm. Residents are urged to take precautionary measures, including evacuation if necessary.
Additionally, a “Yellow Alert” has been issued for Valle, Choluteca, Olancho, and Santa Bárbara departments. Please follow the authorities’ instructions as needed.
For all other areas in the country, a “Green Alert” has been issued, urging caution.
