As of 5 p.m. on November 12, the Guam government has raised the alert level to COR2 (second highest in the four-level system) due to the approach of Tropical Depression 25W (international name: MAN-YI). The storm is intensifying as it moves closer to Guam, with heavy rains and strong winds expected from early morning to nighttime on November 13.
Japanese residents and visitors are advised to stay informed of the latest weather updates and alerts, avoid dangerous areas, and take immediate precautions such as stocking up on food and water, preparing cash, filling vehicle gas tanks, checking generators, and refilling gas supplies.
If the tropical depression approaches further and the highest alert level, COR1, is issued, a curfew will be enforced. Continue to monitor weather and safety alerts closely.
Alert levels are as follows:
COR1: Expected to enter storm zone within 12 hours (curfew in effect)
COR2: Expected to enter storm zone within 24 hours (close window shutters, secure water and food, prepare to evacuate to shelter)
COR3: Expected to enter storm zone within 48 hours (secure gasoline and essential supplies)
COR4: Normal state
