Brazil: Shooting Incident at Guarulhos International Airport

Incident Details:

   • November 8 (Friday) just after 4:00 PM.

   • Terminal 2 Arrival Area, ground-level central loading/unloading area at Guarulhos International Airport.
3. Summary of the Incident
   • According to reports, a shooting occurred in Terminal 2 of Guarulhos International Airport, resulting in the death of one Brazilian businessman and injuries to three others. Among the injured were two app-based drivers and a woman who was on the airport sidewalk at the time of the shooting. All three injured individuals are reportedly in critical condition.
   • The shooter is believed to be linked to the criminal group Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), and this incident does not appear to be a random act of terror. The suspect is currently at large.
   • Airport operations are continuing as usual for the time being, according to media reports.
