1. Overview of Each Incident
(1) On Monday, September 23, around 6:00 a.m., a school bus was attacked by robbers in the Puraquequara district of Manaus.
According to reports, several armed men blocked the path of the school bus and ordered the driver to stop. However, the driver refused to comply, prompting the assailants to fire bullets at the bus, striking the driver. The driver was rescued and taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The condition of the students on board (such as injuries) is unknown.

(2) On the morning of Tuesday, September 24, a Ventissol company employee shuttle bus was attacked by robbers on Avenida Flamboyant in the Distrito Industrial II (Second Industrial District) of Manaus.
According to reports, the robbers, who were on foot, boarded the bus, shouted that they were robbing it, and pointed a gun at the passengers (employees and driver), demanding their mobile phones, wallets, and valuables. Afterward, they fired shots at the bus and fled the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the employees and driver.

2. Request from the Consulate

(3) Minimize the items you carry when going out, and distribute your valuables across different locations.
(4) If you are involved in a robbery, do not resist and comply with the robber’s demands.
