On September 24, attacks reportedly targeting Hezbollah-related sites by the Israel Defense Forces occurred in multiple regions across Lebanon, including the Dahieh area in the southern suburbs of Beirut around 3 PM. There appear to be significant damages throughout the country.
There is a risk that fighting between both sides may escalate further. Those currently in Lebanon should exercise extreme caution and make efforts to ensure their safety, including promptly evacuating to safe areas in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
A travel advisory remains in effect for all of Lebanon at “Level 4: Evacuate. Do not travel (Evacuation recommendation).” Travel to Lebanon should be avoided for any purpose. Those already in the country should secure their safety and evacuate immediately while commercial flights are still operating.
If you encounter any information about Japanese nationals being harmed, please report it to the embassy.
