The Thai government, during Agenda 13 (Policies on Tourism and Economic Promotion) on May 28, 2024, decided and announced changes regarding entry into Thailand. The following measures were recently published in the official gazette and will take effect from July 15:
- Expansion of visa exemption for short-term stays and extension of the stay period (from 30 days to 60 days) for tourism, labor, and short-term business purposes.
- One-year residence permit after the completion of a student visa.
- Introduction of the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).
