As already reported, at around 3:30 AM on June 5, a Japanese national was fatally stabbed near Chinatown in Vancouver. (This information was reported to our consulate by the Vancouver Police Department.) There are no updates on the arrest of the perpetrator at this time. We urge all Japanese nationals residing in the area to exercise extreme caution and stay safe.
