2. Safety Tips

Although security authorities are conducting patrols, vehicle robberies continue to occur frequently in similar locations. Pay particular attention when traveling near state borders.

(1) Robberies can occur even during daylight hours. If traveling across state borders, carefully plan your route and schedule.
(2) Many vehicle robberies involve the use of firearms or blocking roads. On highways, high speeds increase the risk of serious accidents if attempting to flee. If escape seems difficult, it is advisable to follow the robbers’ instructions without resistance.
(3) If you are robbed, comply with the robbers’ demands without resistance. Avoid actions that might provoke the robbers, such as making eye contact or chasing them. Generally, not resisting and calmly complying with demands can reduce the risk of harm. Remain calm and follow the robbers’ instructions to ensure your safety.
