1. Overview
Incident on March 7, 2020 (Saturday) at approximately 8:00 PM:
In the Village area of Gaborone, a foreign woman was attacked after opening the gate to her apartment complex and driving her car inside. As she entered, a robber who had followed her in grabbed her from behind and stole her bag before fleeing the scene. The apartment complex had a security guard on duty at all times.
Incident on March 8, 2020 (Sunday) in the morning:
A Japanese resident parked their car at the base of Kgale Hill, a popular hiking spot on the outskirts of Gaborone, to go hiking. Upon returning around 11:00 AM, they discovered that the driver’s side lock had been forced open, and a mobile phone and cash hidden under the seat were stolen.

When opening or closing gates, remain vigilant of suspicious individuals. If someone suspicious enters, monitor their actions closely and never leave your vehicle.
