Details of Incident:
The victim, a Japanese national, was waiting for an Uber on the street near the mentioned restaurant while holding their mobile phone. At around 8:15 PM, a man on a bicycle snatched the phone from their hand. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed.
Preventive Measures:
(1) Avoid displaying valuable items such as mobile phones and wallets in plain sight on the street.
(2) Keep belongings to a minimum and distribute valuable items in different places when going out.
(3) If you encounter a theft or similar situation, do not resist and comply with the perpetrator’s demands. Avoid chasing after the thief or attempting to recover the stolen items on your own.
