On the way back to the accommodation after the tour, the driver informed the traveler that there was a police checkpoint ahead and suggested urgently getting out to avoid possible arrest. – The traveler, following the driver’s advice, left the backpack inside the taxi and exited at a less crowded location. A few minutes later, the driver took advantage of the traveler’s distraction, got back into the taxi, and drove away with the backpack still in the vehicle.
