• Both the ruling and opposition parties are calling for rallies and marches nationwide on August 17 in response to the results of the Venezuelan presidential election.

1. In response to the results of the Venezuelan presidential election held on July 28, both the ruling and opposition parties are calling for rallies and marches nationwide on Saturday, August 17.

2. According to reports, the scheduled rallies and marches in Caracas are as follows (gatherings may also occur in other regions):

(1) Opposition:

• A rally will be held at 10:00 AM in front of the El Lídice Shopping Center on Francisco de Miranda Avenue.

(2) Ruling Party:

• Gather at 1:00 PM at the CANTV headquarters on Libertador Avenue and march towards the Presidential Palace. Over 10,000 motorcycles are expected to gather from the Petare district, with groups from the El Recreo and Sucre districts also expected to participate.

3. In protests held immediately after the election, there have been casualties due to clashes between security forces and demonstrators. While no major clashes have been reported since then, even peaceful gatherings can quickly escalate, leading to rioting or clashes with security forces.

4. To avoid getting caught up in unforeseen circumstances, please stay informed through news reports and take the following safety precautions to ensure your safety:

(1) Avoid areas where rallies or marches are taking place. If you encounter a rally or march, leave the area immediately.

(2) Road closures and traffic congestion may occur due to rallies or marches, so when going out, allow extra time for travel and remain vigilant of your surroundings.
