Australia: Queensland Has Highest Number of Victims of Crime in Australia

According to the national police data on the number of crime victims in 2023 released by the Australian government, Queensland has the highest number of crime victims in the country, rising to nearly 300,000.

The state recorded the highest number of victims in the country with 289,657, an increase of 13% from the previous year.

2 The number of victims of burglary, assault (Assault), home invasion (including theft), and motor vehicle theft was also the highest in the country, noting that most of these crimes were committed by minors (Youth Crime).
