Brazil: Armed Robbery on a City Bus Involving a Japanese National (Rio de Janeiro, Centro District)

On January 30 (Thursday) at around 5:00 PM, a Japanese male passenger was robbed while riding city bus No. 433 from Copacabana to the Centro district.

Incident Details

While the victim was on the bus, a group of 15 to 20 juveniles boarded at a stop along the route. Shortly after, the group began attacking passengers, including the Japanese national, and forcibly took their belongings. Approximately ten passengers were targeted in the incident.
