China: Typhoon Warning Signal No. 8 Issued (Hong Kong)

  1. Due to the approach of Typhoon Tragedy (Typhoon No. 23), the Hong Kong Observatory issued an advance notice at 8:15 p.m. today (Wednesday, November 13) for Typhoon Warning Signal No. 8, which is scheduled to be raised at 11:10 p.m. In accordance with this notice, the Embassy will temporarily close as long as Signal No. 8 remains in effect.
  2. In both Hong Kong and Macau, typhoon warning signals are issued based on the distance of the typhoon and wind intensity. When Signal No. 8 is issued, public transportation may be suspended, and businesses may close. Please take caution, as outdoor movement can be hazardous. Avoid non-essential outings, stay updated on the latest weather information, and take appropriate safety measures.
