Cuba: Earthquake Strikes Southern Santiago de Cuba

Location:  Cuba

Event:  According to the U.S. Geological Survey , a 6.8 magnitude quake struck off of Cuba’s south coast, south of Santiago de Cuba around noon, November 10.   The epicenter was about 24 miles south of Bartolome Maso, which is part of Cuba’s Granma province.  This earthquake struck just an hour after another earthquake that measured 5.9.  There are no tsunami warnings, but there are reports of aftershocks, minor impacts on buildings, and disrupted communications. No initial reports of injuries or deaths.
