Travelers entering Costa Rica from the countries listed below are now required to present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (Yellow Card). Entry into Costa Rica will not be permitted without a valid certificate for those arriving from yellow fever risk countries or regions as designated by the Ministry of Health. According to the Ministry’s latest update on September 27, the list of applicable countries has been revised.
Until December 26 of this year, exemptions apply to specific areas within these countries. However, starting December 27, the vaccination requirement will cover entire countries without regional exceptions. If you are planning holiday travel around the end of the year, please verify your compliance to avoid potential boarding issues at your departure airport.
