• Following last weekend, Karachi authorities have extended the ban on protests and gatherings of more than five people throughout the city for Friday, the 18th, and Saturday, the 19th.
• The Islamic political group Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) is planning a protest at the Karachi Press Club on Friday, the 18th, at 3:00 PM, regarding blasphemy accusations against the Prophet Muhammad.
• The opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is also scheduled to hold a protest at Empress Market in the Saddar area on Friday, the 18th, at 4:00 PM, in opposition to constitutional amendments.
• Although the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit concluded on October 17th, authorities have continued to strengthen security measures. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest security information and avoid areas where protests and gatherings are taking place.

3. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold a protest at Empress Market in the Saddar area on Friday, the 18th, at 4:00 PM, opposing the constitutional amendments.
4. While the SCO Summit concluded on October 17th, authorities continue to maintain heightened security. Residents are advised to stay informed with the latest safety updates and avoid areas with demonstrations and gatherings.
5. Given the current situation, please exercise caution to avoid being caught in unexpected incidents such as terrorist attacks. Specifically, pay attention to the following:

(3) Avoid locations that are likely targets of terrorism (Chinese-related facilities, religious sites, government institutions, security forces’ facilities such as vehicles and checkpoints). If you need to visit these places, try to complete your tasks efficiently and remain alert. If you notice any suspicious situations, leave the area promptly.
(4) Stay informed with the latest safety information from local news sources and practice safe behavior.
