• According to reports, on Saturday, October 5, demonstrations related to the Israel-Palestine situation are planned by various groups across Greece, including central Athens. Traffic restrictions will be in place in these areas, and there is a risk that the demonstrations may escalate into clashes. Please avoid approaching these areas, and if you encounter a demonstration, leave the area immediately to avoid any potential dangers.

1. Gathering and Demonstration Information in Attica Region
• At 12:00 p.m. (noon), pro-Palestinian gatherings are scheduled at Omonia Square and Chalandri Square in Athens, and Municipal Theater Square in Piraeus by labor unions, student groups, and others.
• At 2:00 p.m., a protest march will take place from Eleftherias Square (in front of Megaro Mousikis metro station) in Athens to the Israeli Embassy along Kifisias Avenue.
2. Gathering and Demonstration Information in Other Major Cities
• At 12:00 p.m., a demonstration is scheduled at the Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos on Egnatia Street in Thessaloniki.
• At 12:00 p.m., a gathering will take place at Georgios Square in Patras.
• At 12:00 p.m., a demonstration is planned at Liontaria in Heraklion, Crete.
3. Additionally, incidents connected to the situation, such as attacks on Israeli embassies, have occurred in European countries like Sweden and Denmark. As noted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ regional advisory on heightened tensions in the Middle East, those residing in Greece should avoid Israeli-related facilities (such as the Israeli Embassy and synagogues) and remain vigilant by staying informed and taking necessary precautions to ensure personal safety.
