Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bomb Threats at Shopping Malls in Sarajevo (Update 2)

Location:  Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

UPDATE:  The Aria Shopping Mall has received a bomb threat this afternoon and is currently being evacuated.  This threat is in addition to the earlier reported bomb threats at Importanne Mall and the Sarajevo City Center (SCC) Mall.  Evacuations and police operations are ongoing at all three locations.

Actions to Take:

  • Exercise caution and avoid these areas until the situation is fully resolved and all locations are deemed safe.

According to reports, on Tuesday the 24th, there was also a bomb threat at the “ARIA” shopping mall in Sarajevo, leading to an evacuation order and an ongoing search for explosives at the site.

Today alone, bomb threats were made against the following three commercial facilities. Please follow the instructions of facility staff and the police, avoid approaching the areas around the threatened locations, and make efforts to ensure your safety and stay informed with the latest updates.

  • ARIA
Update: It has been confirmed safe

UPDATE: The Sarajevo police have concluded their operations in response to the earlier reported bomb threats to the Importanne Mall, the Sarajevo City Center (SCC) Mall, and the Aria Shopping Mall. The police have cleared all three malls and deemed them safe.
