Event: Suriname / French Guiana Ferry Closure September 26 – October 28, 2024
The St Laurent du Maroni – Albina Ferry “La Gabrielle” is scheduled to be closed for annual maintenance from September 26 to October 28, 2024. As such, automotive vehicles will be unable to cross the Marowijne/Maroni River to and from Suriname and French Guiana.
The U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo recommends individuals make alternative travel arrangements should they need to travel between the two countries during this time.
