Details:

  • As of May 8, reports indicate that the number of pertussis cases has exceeded 840. The infection is increasing particularly in Sofia and other densely populated cities, raising concerns about a nationwide spread.
  • From May 9, 2024, to July 31, 2024, voluntary vaccination will be available for pregnant women between 27 and 36 weeks of gestation. The vaccine, provided free of charge, includes a combination of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis.
