According to reports, a 22-year-old man was shot and killed on Paguana Street in the Jorge Teixeira District of Northeast Manaus. The incident occurred in an area known as a “Red Zone” where drug trafficking is prevalent. The victim was in a car with a friend when they accidentally entered a dead-end street. A group of three armed assailants approached the car, and one of them fired a gun at the victim. The victim’s friend noticed that the assailant’s gun was malfunctioning and ran toward a police vehicle to seek help.Source: CM7 Brazil

- Areas in Northeast Manaus (including Cidade Nova, Cidade de Deus, Novo Aleixo, Jorge Teixeira, etc.) are considered high-risk zones due to the presence of drug crime organizations. Avoid approaching these areas as much as possible.
