  • On January 18th (Saturday) at around 8:40 PM, a robbery using a weapon resembling a handgun occurred on Del Pilar Street in the Malate District of Manila, Metro Manila, targeting a Japanese national.
  • The victim, a Japanese national, and two foreigners were walking along the street north of Malate Church when they were ambushed by a pair of perpetrators. One of the offenders suddenly grabbed the strap of the victim’s shoulder bag, while both offenders pointed a weapon resembling a handgun at the Japanese victim. The victim let go of the bag, and the perpetrators then fled on a motorcycle.
