Bulgaria: Heat Wave and Other Warnings Issued for the Entire Region: July 18 and 19

The Bulgarian National Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued a heat wave warning (red code) and other warnings for Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19 for all of Bulgaria.
The temperature remains high. When going outside, please remember to take measures against heat stroke and ultraviolet rays. In addition, there is a possibility of localized heavy rainfall and lightning strikes, and forest fires have been reported in many areas, so please pay attention to the weather information around the area where you are staying.

The National Meteorological and Hydrological Institute of Bulgaria has issued a heat advisory (Red Code) for Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19 for the whole of Bulgaria. The details are as follows

Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia (province), Rovec, Gabrovo, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Karzhali

○Temperatures remain high. When going outside, please remember to take measures against heat stroke and ultraviolet rays, and avoid going out during the hottest hours, especially in areas with a heat advisory (red code).

In addition to the possibility of localized heavy rainfall and lightning strikes, forest fires are likely to occur, with fires reported in Stara Zagora, Varna, Plovdiv (Otez Pyshevo, Karlovo), Yambol (Voden), and other areas. Due to the possibility of fire spreading depending on the wind direction, people are advised to stay away from the areas where fires are currently burning and the surrounding areas.
