Japanese nationals residing in Laos or visiting the country are advised to stay informed about the latest information and take the following precautions to avoid health risks from contaminated alcoholic beverages:
- Purchase alcoholic drinks only from licensed liquor stores, bars, or hotels.
- Avoid consuming homemade alcoholic beverages.
- Be vigilant for signs of bottle tampering or counterfeit products (such as poor label printing quality, misspelled trademarks, or product names).
