France: Anti-Whaling Organization Holds Rally

1.On July 21, 2024 (Sunday), Greenlandic police announced the detention of former SS leader Paul Watson upon his entry into Greenland by vessel. This was based on an Interpol Red Notice issued at Japan’s request. In response, Sea Shepherd (SS) France and its branches have organized rallies in various French cities, calling for his release. Additionally, Sea Shepherd (SS) France has announced via social media that it will hold similar rallies this weekend in multiple cities across France. Further protests against Japan may also increase.
