The Haishu Branch of the Ningbo Public Security Bureau in Zhejiang Province announced that on October 22 at around 6:40 a.m., a 50-year-old man committed a stabbing incident in Hengjie Town, Haishu District, Ningbo City, leaving two people injured who were taken to the hospital. The suspect was apprehended at the scene by authorities and is currently under investigation for further details. According to Chinese reports, a schoolgirl and her mother were attacked with a knife on their way to school. Upon receiving this information, the consulate requested confirmation from the relevant public security authorities. So far, no information has been found indicating that the victims are Japanese nationals.
