  • According to reports, various pro-Israel events are expected to be held on Monday, October 7th, marking one year since the Hamas attack on Israel. Additionally, there are reports of pro-Palestinian demonstrations being called for this weekend. If demonstrations take place, traffic congestion is anticipated, and there is a possibility of escalated tensions or clashes between supporters of both sides. Therefore, please exercise caution and avoid approaching areas where demonstrations are occurring or facilities related to Israel and Palestine.
  • As the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel approaches on Monday, October 7th, security authorities are reportedly enhancing security in areas with a high concentration of Israeli-related facilities, such as synagogues in ghetto districts, to prevent unforeseen circumstances. Reports also indicate that pro-Israel events will be held in Rome.
  • On the other hand, pro-Palestinian groups are reportedly calling for a demonstration starting around the Piramide station on Saturday, October 5th. Some organizing groups have indicated they will postpone the demonstration to October 12th and reapply for permission, as they were unable to secure approval from security authorities. However, there are also groups stating on their websites that they will proceed with the demonstration regardless.
  • Given the above circumstances, the possibility of accidental clashes between supporters of both sides cannot be ruled out, so please remain vigilant. Additionally, similar situations may arise in cities outside of Rome, so caution is advised.

We encourage everyone to continue monitoring news reports and, if you encounter demonstrations, please pay attention to your surroundings and take steps to ensure your safety by leaving the area if necessary.
