Lebanon: Request to Consider Departure via Commercial Flights Amid Attacks in Beirut Governorate

1. Reports indicate that an attack occurred around 5 PM on October 1 in the Dahieh area, a southern suburb of Beirut. Attacks have been occurring intermittently in multiple regions across Lebanon, resulting in significant damage.
2. Currently, many commercial flights departing from the local international airport have been canceled, and it has become difficult to make reservations. Those currently in Lebanon are advised to ensure their safety and evacuate immediately while commercial flights are still operational.
3. A “Level 4: Evacuate. Do not travel. (Evacuation Advisory)” alert continues to be in effect for all of Lebanon. Please refrain from traveling to Lebanon for any purpose.
4. Those already in Lebanon should exercise extreme caution and, in the event of unexpected situations, promptly evacuate to safe areas to ensure their own safety.
5. If you become aware of any information regarding Japanese nationals being harmed, please report it to the embassy. If you find yourself a victim, file a report with the nearest police station (ISF) and cooperate by informing the embassy of any such incidents involving Japanese citizens.
